“The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie — deliberate, contrived and dishonest — but the myth — persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the cliches of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
-John F. Kennedy

This blog will relentlessly pursue truth, however elusive, even when it is virtually impossible to know it for sure.

That message from the ’62 Yale commencement speech wasn’t the only important thing JFK felt it necessary to warn us about. I’ve heard this JFK speech on secret societies many times; but only recently did I come to the realization that the audience was the American Newspaper Publishers Association. That amplifies the importance of his words, adding the “why” to the “what”. The repeated failures of the mainstream media to challenge the United States government on important issues in recent years seem to indicate Kennedy could see it coming. I think he did.
