Why are we in Afghanistan?

by on Nov.06, 2009, under The General Pursuit

Former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, explains that the reason that the United States is in Afghanistan is so allow Western oil companies to build a pipeline to benefit Enron and Unocal by providing a way to avoid Russia and Iran in transporting the natural gas out of the region. Ken Lay and George W. Bush are buddies aren’t they? And by the way, Karzai, the current president of Afghanistan, was a consultant to Unocal. We are in Afghanistan because of money and oil, not democracy or fighting terrorism, or locating the ghost of Osama bin Laden.
